ArmA 3 Exile certainly lacks the survival aspect of a game like DayZ. For the most part, you can survive by eating food and water looted from your dead enemies. However, after setting up a base, players may decide to have a Camp Fire and do some cooking. If that’s the case, here’s how you can craft one in ArmA 3 Exile.
Craft a Camp Fire Kit
The first thing you’ll need is an Axe, which can be purchased from certain vendors or looted from sites that have construction materials.
Equip your axe, typically by pressing the 3 key on your keyboard, and then approach a tree. Left click on the tree twice and you’ll be able to collect two Wood Logs.
Double left click on the Wood Logs in your inventory and then click the Recipes tab at the top. Scroll through the list until you find Craft Fire Place. Double left click on that, and then click the Craft button at the bottom of the screen.
The Camp Fire Kit will now show up in your inventory. If you’re on land that you own, or land that you have build permissions for, you can double left click the Camp Fire Kit in your inventory and choose the Construct option. Place the Camp Fire Kit wherever you’d like and press the Space Bar to lock it in.
If you want to light the Camp Fire you’ll need a Box of Matches, which you can purchase from a vendor or loot from a construction site. If you have the Box of Matches in your inventory, you should be able to move close to the Camp Fire, use the scroll-wheel on your mouse and select Light Fire.
It’s as easy as that to craft a Camp Fire Kit in ArmA 3 Exile. Remember that you can use the scroll-wheel on your mouse to put the fire out, or even remove it and put it back in your inventory if you’re not satisfied with where it’s been placed.
