How To Get A Level 6 Leviathan Axe
Most of the resources you need to upgrade your axe will come to you as you play the game. That said, there is a way to upgrade your axe to Level 6, but you need to know where to look. First up, you need to get to Niflheim. To do this, you need to find any four of the seven Niflheim Cipher pieces that are hidden throughout the game. Once you have them, you can open up the door to Niflheim via the World Tree.
Niflheim is a strange and dangerous place, filled with a damaging fog. It is a good idea to read through our Guide to Niflheim to best take advantage of your time there. First, you need to collect 500 Mist Echoes so that Sindri can build you a key that will allow you to access the center of the area. After that, you need to collect 5000 Mist Echoes, then open the third golden chest from the left, as you enter the area from the stairs.
This chest will contain the Chilling Mists of Niflheim. You can trade this to Brok and Sindri for the final resource, a Frozen Flame, you need to upgrade your Level 6 Leviathan Axe. You now have a fully upgraded Leviathan Axe, which will surely help you in many of your fights, especially against the Valkyries.
