During E3 2017, Guerrilla Games announced that Horizon Zero Dawn would be getting more content in an expansion called “The Frozen Wilds” leading Aloy northward to a new territory coming November 7.
A teaser trailer for The Frozen Wilds was shown during E3 that has sent us north to a post-apocalyptic Wyoming that was once Yellowstone National Park. Those who normally travel north do so to hunt the unique creatures that roam the area. What unique creatures will we encounter? Judging by the trailer, one of them looks to be bear or what I think a bear would look like in Horizon Zero Dawn.
Unlike the hunters, Aloy has come searching for answers from the mountain. This turns out to be quite the task, since she is told that the only way to get those answers is to face the beast that guards it. We aren’t quite sure what new creatures we will face, but we will be ready to go on this brand new adventure.
Beyond the northern mountains, the borderlands of the Banuk tribe challenge all who dare enter to survive the extremes. But now this frozen wilderness harbors a new threat, and for Aloy, a new mystery – one she’s determined to solve.
In addition to the new storylines, creatures, and experiences, The Frozen Wilds will also feature enhancements for the PS4 Pro with dynamic 4K gaming, improved graphics and environments, and High Dynamic Range visuals. Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds will release on November 7, 2017 for PlayStation 4. It can be pre-ordered for $14.99 with a special Banuk Aloy avatar to be used on PSN. Those who wait to purchase it will have to pay $19.99.
