The Four Days of Night event is coming to The Long Dark and will run between October 27 to October 31, from 11 p.m. PDT to 11 p.m. PDT.
The Long Dark is one of our favorite survival games here at TL;DR Games. Not only is surviving the real challenge in this game, but the many ways of exploring and living your life in the survival mode have made it arguably the best title in its class. Hinterland Studios is continuing its annual tradition of including a Four Days of Night special event around Halloween. This year it’s even better and coming to Steam, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
The Four Days of Night mode will be added via a patch and is a dedicated mode available from The Long Dark‘s title screen. This means that you won’t need to disturb your ongoing story or survival mode games, and you can also ignore it entirely if you’re too much of a scared coward!
Four daily challenges have been introduced exclusively for the Four Days of Night event, but Hinterland Studios is keeping tightlipped about what they are. Word is that they will be revealed daily on the official announcement post.
Players who brave the challenges can also earn two new badges; the Twilight Badge and Midnight Badge. The Twilight Badge is awarded for surviving for two real-time hours for any two days of the event. The Midnight Badge can be had if you survived for two real-time hours for all four days of the event.
Four Days of Night is a fun event every year that it’s been present in The Long Dark and we look forward to what kind of challenges we’ll be faced with when it opens up on October 27 at 11 p.m. PDT.
