Nvidia has been pushing the graphical prowess that their hardware will bring to Destiny 2 on PC pretty hard. That excites us greatly! Now they have released the Official PC Open Beta Trailer, as seen above.
The PC beta begins this August 28th, if you’ve pre-ordered the game, and opens up to everyone on the 29th. Sadly, it only runs until August 31st, though Bungie did extend the earlier console beta by a few days. We’re hopeful they’ll do the same for PC gamers.
This will be the first time that we’ll get to experience the Destiny series on the PC platform, and for some of us, that is the most exciting event of the year. We’re expecting a few jaws to drop when we first get to see Destiny 2 at high FPS rates and resolutions up to 4K. There’s a reason we’ve build monster PCs, right? Maybe PvP will even be tolerable on the PC platform…
The PC beta will have the same content as the console beta did: the first story mission, a cooperative strike, and two modes of Crucible PvP combat. There will of course be several fixes and tweaks that came as a result of the console beta. No word yet on whether or not we’ll get to visit The Farm again, Destiny 2‘s first social space.
